Solidarity Travel started as a way to help people in current and former conflict zones. Many people want to help those in the Ukraine, Balkans (former Yugoslavia; Belgrade Servia, pictured), etc. rebuild their lives but didn't know how to help. These areas have lost much of their economy and one of the best ways to help the people of these areas is to bring demand for their services in the form of travel and tourism.
I'm John Fisher and I've traveled to over 60 countries and have seen firsthand how travel can be a force for good. While overtourism is talked about a lot in the media, the alternative is to travel to places that want tourists to help them rebuild their lives and livelihoods. So I created Sollidarity Travel to take people to those exact places that are both great to see and where our tourist dollars can be used to help the local economy (like Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina, pictured).
Currently, we focus our Solidarity Tours on the Ukraine and the Balkans (former Yugoslavia): Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia (Ljubljana, pictured), Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania.
